Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program
The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program is an economic program which is an employer driven program, whereby an employer offers an eligible foreign national a job offer. This program is created and designed for people willing to immigrate to Atlantic Canada comprising of the provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. The program was extended for 2 years recently. For employers to be able to participate, they must be designated and there is a process to follow.
This program is divided into 3 types and each type has its own eligibility criteria for qualification in addition to offer of employment by a designated employer. The 3 programs are:
- Atlantic International Graduate Program – for international graduates from any of the designated post-secondary institutions in the Atlantic region meeting the program requirements.
- Atlantic High-Skilled Program – this is open to international foreign workers who meet the specific requirements for this program.
- Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program – this is equally open to international foreign workers who meet the specific requirements for this program.
